Paul Ng, the new President of the CCBA, was born in 1936 in Sun Wei (Xinhui) County in Canton Province, China. Upon completing his education in Hong Kong, he immigrated to the United States in 1963. He studied accounting in college, and later worked in a bank after his graduation. He then made a career change, opening a spacious Chinese Restaurant on Long Island which he operated until his retirement in 2001.
Paul has since devoted most of his time serving the needs of the Chinatown community. He spent six years as vice president of the Sun Wei Association. He also became a board member of Lin Sing Association and has been its Vice President since 2008 during which time he organized and managed many of the organization’s activities and duties. In addition, he has supported many community issues and activities for the Chinese Consolidated Benevolent Association which benefit the Asian American community.
